Glyphraid is a language-learning game developed by an independent developer. This page explains what data the app handles and how.
The app collects anonymous usage analytics to understand how features are used and to improve the game:
Analytics are processed by PostHog, acting as our data processor.
The app does not collect your name, contacts, location, photos, files, or any financial information. There is no account system and no sign-in.
No advertising. Glyphraid contains no ads and no third-party advertising SDKs.
The app never asks for your email address. The one exception is if you choose to email us a problem report or fill in a feedback form — see Feedback you send below.
All learning progress (card mastery, unlocks, run history) is stored locally on your device only. It is never uploaded.
The app has a “report a problem” button (you can also shake your phone to open it). Choosing to send a report opens your own email app with a message addressed to terry@glyphraid.com.
If you send that email, we receive:
Sending a report is entirely optional. Nothing is transmitted unless you tap send in your own email app. We use these reports only to fix problems and reply to you, and we do not add your address to any mailing list.
We also run optional feedback forms hosted on Google Forms (Google acts as a data processor). If you choose to fill one in, the answers you type — and your email address, if you provide one — are stored in Google’s systems and visible to us. Filling in a form is entirely optional and is never required to use the app.
Glyphraid can remind you to practise at a time you choose.
These reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Nothing is sent to us or to any push-notification service: there is no push token, no server, and no network request involved. If you turn reminders off, or deny the notification permission, the schedule is simply removed from your device.
Glyphraid offers a one-time purchase that unlocks the full set of learning content. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
The purchase is handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on where you installed the app. They are the seller and the payment processor. We never see your name, your payment card, or your billing address — none of it passes through the app or reaches us.
What the app receives back from the store is simply whether the unlock has been purchased. That single yes/no answer is stored locally on your device, exactly like your learning progress. It is not uploaded and it is not linked to any account of ours, because we have none.
Restore purchases asks the store whether the account you are signed into has already bought the unlock. The question is answered by Apple or Google; your account identity is never shared with us.
If you were given a redemption code, redeeming it happens inside the App Store or Google Play. We generate codes in the store’s developer console, but we are not told who redeemed which code.
Apple and Google keep their own records of the transaction under their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. The third parties involved are PostHog, which stores analytics on our behalf; Apple and Google, which sell and deliver the app and handle any purchase; and — only if you choose to fill in a feedback form — Google, which hosts those forms on our behalf.
Glyphraid is not directed to children under 13.
To request deletion of analytics data associated with your device, contact us at the email below. Deleting the app removes all locally stored learning data.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page.
